If you loved music from Hotel Costes, Stephane Pompougnac, Malcom Mclaren, Jamiroquai, Moloko (the famous "Sing It Back"), Miles Davis, Jamie Cullum, St Germain, Gotan Project and more (mainly acid, classic jazz, lounge, remix stylish music), you will simply love lush. Tasteful blend of soft chill out mixes throughout the day. You may not be expecting a sing along station like Class 95 or Power 98, but it is definitely a great station for a great background music.
I get pretty distracted at work when a DJ speaks too much, except for Glenn Ong or Venetta Lopez. First I get use to their voices for 10 yrs and they are pretty funny and informative. Pretty entertaining to hear from them everyday but I need a break at times still. I personally love mandarin songs since the Jay Chow fever started (i took longer to catch the fever, like in 2003). But I really don't like to tune in local mandarin stations during work time, it just brings me headache, drives me nuts and I can't focus. Cantonese songs are my latest fav, hmmm, but I cannot listen to it when I'm designing. It kills my inspiration when I will start singing along with Jordan Chan, trying to remember pronouncing each cantonese word, hehe!
You can hear Lush globally on the main website broadcast.
Here are a couple of albums I reccommend under such genre.

Malcom Mclaren's "Paris". I first heard of Jazz is Paris on the Christy Turlington's Catwalk documentry. The whole show was styled with mclaren's music. Very french, even though he's english. Its my all time favourite song but I have confessed it has bits of content of racism in lyrics if you are pretty sensitive about it. But hey, the music is really good, just ignore what mclaren is singing at certain part of the song, it should be fine. I wouldn't recommend the whole album content for these for anyone, its not really an all people favourite type of music. Not many will aprreciate his style of music.

Gotan Project's "La Revancha Del Tango"
(I specially love Queremos Paz on Disc 1 Song 1, it was once feature on Sex and City's finale where Carrie first met Alexandra's ex wife, Sophie at the "ridiculous" restaurant, hehe!)

George Michael's "Songs from the Last century"
george is my fav man of all time, his song is so delicate and he did cover version on the classic jazz or oldies. I specially love the reedit Police's Roxanne in a stylish jazz way. Love "Brother can you spare dime" as well. His voice spoke of a despair and bitter guy.

My all time favourite Jamiroquai album is "travelling without moving". Still disappointed that they didn't perform my favourite "virtual insanity" when they were here for concert 4 yrs ago but Jay and his buffalo crew put up such a great concert and I was standing throughout the whole show, singing and dancing along with them. The "High Times" sort of sums up their best works for the past 10yrs+. It is a must get if you love Jamiroquai's style of music. I hope they wil come back Singapore if they are doing a world tour again!
