Suppose to be active on the blog since I'm "jobless" but presently on and off I have non profitable projects ongoing. Today decided to take an hr out to do a bit of typing.
One month ago I went to guangzhou & dongguan for a short trip to interview for a job and visit Aidy. Surprising I met Xiuying where she is working in the company. But I didn't accept the job offer anyway. But this trip to China was a really HOT trip, means very warm weather. It was crazily scorching. Visit a couple of places of interests in GZ and Aidy brought us to the yi de dong lu 一德东路 . I bought this brolli in the market for $5 and when I went to the retail shops and saw that it costs $12. heheh, good buy!
Xiuying brought me for a massage session on our way back to Dongguan. My god, the massage was really good, it really loosen my bones and tension after excessive travelling for the past 3 days. Xiuying accompanied me to buy some tea leaves back for gifts for the eldery. I heard from my sewer Ann that the tie guan yin are really good and I had a taste for a few pots already. Its really light and fragrance. A very refreshing beverage during the day, not for the evening time of cos if you wanna sleep! Try Cha Shan 茶山 in Dongguan, China to get great tea. There are tons of shops offering good grade of tea leaves and tea accessories. You can test and drink before you purchase. Its appox S$30 for a good grade of 1jin tie guan ying where you can packed for half a dozen cans as gifts. The teashop owners were very friendly and helpful and gave us some information of tea taste and culture, a unique shopping experience if u just have enough of fashion.
Presently I'm still looking for a job. Hoping to go into textile print industry for fashion or lingerie. That's my ideal goal next step.
I just went for Sammi's concert last sat. Sammi was really good and the crowd was high. Even though she sang mostly cantonese songs but she was entertaining enough to keep us hearing her out. I don't know much of her songs. I always like sammi's sense of style in her films. Not a huge fan of her music but I began to realise that I stop having headaches after hearing mei fei se wu this time round. haha! Cos I hate techno, cos its so tui. I remember one christimas eve, a couple of years back, I was hanging out with my jie meis. Well we went to one pub, gosh, they play mei fei se wu and techno, I nearly faint inside but hanging out with a group, you cannot be too fussy and princess. So I accommodate for less than one hr and begged to leave. When I came out, the funny thing is I had a bad headache until I vomit. And I only had a drink and I never vomit on alcohol before, even when I had a few more drinks and tipsy a couple of times.
Her concert was successful in sg, and we got to see Stefanie Sun too. We were hoping Yanzi singing 我懷念的 but too bad she didn't. I can tell that Sammi has put in extra effort singing 綠光 with Yanzi. Sammi's costumes are flamboyant too, but my favourite was the first one she stood on stage with the black wig. I like the exaggeration of the top the costume with the plastic like collars, like a black widow warrior princess. I also like the simplicity cutting of the black tube dress with legging attached to the whole outfit like a catsuit.

I love watching a few of her films, I especially like her collaboration with Andy Lau. I'm not too fond of Andy's works but I have to admit he's good in choosing the right films to be in. And he and sammi just team up well which I can't deny their chemistry that make the films appetising. I don't have much favourite actress in my list, besides Julie Roberts and Anita Yuen, guess the next person is Sammi. She is a very natural actress. Specially love her performance in Yesterday and Tomorrow and My Left Eye Sees a Ghost.
Have something new to share. Roisin Murphy just released her 2nd solo album. Love the days of her discodish musique of Sing in Back in Moloko. But there is more than just Sing in Back, after her first release of Ruby Blue, now here's Overpowered, featuring new hits like Let me Know and Overpowered. I can't wait to get her album after some trail listening on youtube and itunes. If you love jamiroquai or sophie ellis bextor, this album is a must! Try Ruby Blue too, it rocks as well. Songs like The closing of the doors, If we're in love, ramalama, sinking feeling and through time.
