Recently I had a brush with a fraud case happening in ebay and paypal. I just like to warn anyone who read this. Okay, what happened was that I recently listed a mobile phone on ebay uk for sale. The auction ended with a potential buyer. As usual I sent the invoice to the winning bidder and an email listed lopezjean_001@yahoo.com contact me about the sale and claimed that she is the bidder from that account. I was pretty careless, cos I didn't double check the authencity of the email as they are two different emails. So she sent me an accountant verfiy email that she has paypal me the money and the money will only be credited into my account if I can produce a shipping tracking number. I was almost fooled by it, I was suspicious but due to my carelessness that I didn't verify the email authenicity and the buyer's records was trustworthy as well, i went ahead in shipping the item. But not sure is it god that saves me, I forgot to print invoice for the shipment and the post office guy warn me about the recent many fraud ebay cases happening. He strongly suggested I should double check and make sure i got the payment before i mail the item. I am glad I met another kind soul. So in the end, I didn't post and report the case to ebay and paypal. So hopefully anyone of using ebay, do keep a notice on this.
