Yesss, another concert, ahhaha! okioki the last one i attended in 2007. Really worth every cent to see A-mei performing live. Usually singapore audiences are well, less spontaneous, but this concert everyone stood up at the end and the audience were very supportive from our clappings, whistles, screaming and cheering. Someone even brought a horn, hahaha!
Plus point it was a square stage concert and its a different experience from the usual concert stage that is facing one side. Reminds me so much of colosseum in HK. Due to the square stage, we felt closer watching mei even though we didn't pay a $158 ticket (we got a $138 ticket seats).
Mei's songs are classics, plus the effort from the production crew for putting up the chinese lyrics, helps the audience to sing live ktv with mei along the way. So there was alot of interaction between mei and her audience. Her vocal was really powerful and throughout truly as amazing as hearing a cd, or even better cos its live.
I specially love the pink and blk corset with tiers and tights costume. The whole stage settings, lighting and dancers' colourful striking costumes lit up the whole stage in that particular segment. The overall costumes were pretty and captivating, nothing too horrendous that we usually see in mei's older concert mtvs in ktv. Lots of sparkles and stars. Stars linked to her latest album with EMI. There was one starry outfit with red and silver that glows in the dark when she first appeared with that outfit on stage in darkness. It just remind me of our national Singapore flag, haha!

Wow, you went to see Amei! It must had been fantastic!
yes yes, it was really good! I met up with HuangLin recently when she and her mom were transiting back to Shanghai. I think we will meet up again when I will visiting Beijing next month. She is planning to look for a job in Beijing too. It will be good if we can both get a job there and share a flat.
